This is a new beginning for me! My old blog, Our Crazy Wonderful Life, is no longer being edited because I’m turning the page to a new chapter in my life. My husband and I are going through a divorce and are splitting our time evenly with the girls, and I feel like I should start fresh… I liken it to the first day of school when you take all new notebooks and freshly sharpened pencils, or the first day at a new job when you bring your new briefcase and wear your new unblemished shoes.
Since separating I have been spending more quality time with the girls, I have started figuring out my finances and have been learning how to manage my money (including investing a bit here and there), I have moved into a really cute apartment (the first time I’ve ever really lived on my own), I have spent more time with my friends and I have joined the local art museum. I am determined to “find myself” in the midst of all the craziness…
Like I said earlier this is a new beginning and I can’t wait to share it with you!
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.
Henry David Thoreau, 1854

Laura – here’s to new beginnings. You sound great! And thanks for the “advice” you gave me. Going next Tuesday. We’ll see how it goes.
Cheers to you for making this situation a positive one for yourself personally and for the girls.
I hope to see you in October!
