doggie play-date…

Even Belle got in on the Christmas spirit with a few doggie play-dates of her own. Here we are with Belle’s friend, Harley. Harley is quite a bit bigger than Belle, but they got along great and LOVE playing with each other. Belle thinks she’s just as big as Harley and ran around like a maniac trying to play.

Next was Otis, the sweet little puppy of another friend of mine. Well, Let’s just say that Otis was obviously a tad bit intimidated by Belle. He stayed hidden under this trunk the entire time they were there.

I wonder why? LOL! Belle just couldn’t get enough of that little guy…

Really, it’s way too tiring to be this cute…

I talk to him when I’m lonesome like; and I’m sure he understands.  When he looks at me so attentively, and gently licks my hands; then he rubs his nose on my tailored clothes, but I never say naught a threat.  For the good Lord knows I can buy more clothes, but never a friend like that.

I think we’ve turned a corner with Belle… She’s gotten somewhat used to the girls and actually seems excited to see them when they’re home. They’re much calmer around her and she doesn’t startle quite as easily anymore. Here’s a cute pic of Belle “kissing” Maggie while she gives her a hug…

our newest addition…

Meet Belle! She’s our new baby… and I just got her yesterday! She’s a Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound mix and shes 3-1/2 months old. She’s full grown and is only 10 lbs. I saw her a while ago at PetSmart during an adoption drive and couldn’t get that little face out of my mind, so I took a very late lunch yesterday and went by the Humane Society and picked her up – man is she a sweet dog! She likes to cuddle and sit in your lap and she even went to the potty outside (even though she’s not housebroken yet).

Last night was my night to pick the kids up from school and take them to dinner, so I brought the dog with me and OH.MY.GOODNESS… they LOVED her! She’s a bit afraid of them right now, but I know she’ll warm up to them in no time. Abby and Maggie played with her toys and petted her and they even tried out her little crate.

Hey, maybe this is the perfect solution for Baby Damien… Shannie, I’ll lend it to you if you need it!
