Well it’s getting to be that time of year… the time when all things “Christmas” are filling the shelves of our local stores. This year, I need new stockings and a new Christmas tree skirt and I’m torn… Do I want to simply buy new ones, or do I want to make some? I’ve been doing a lot of looking for patterns and ideas, and Martha Stewart (as usual) has come through with a plethora of great ideas. Now all I need to do is try to decide which I like best…
These basic stockings are ready and waiting for personalization, and I could change out the designs year after year (if they’re lightly glued on)…

I like how dainty these sweet felt stockings are. The jingle bells and punched holes add a bit of whimsy to the basic red and white color scheme…

What a good idea! These are made out of either a winter fringed blanket or a fluffy scarf. How easy!

Oh my goodness… I love how cozy these recycled sweater stockings are. I may be making a trip to Goodwill at some point this weekend…
